Samolis have been recognized as 2026 Excellence in the Law honorees by Rhode Island Lawyers Weekly. Gilden was selected as a “Hall of Fame” inductee, and Samolis was selected for the “Leaders in the Law” category. They will be honored at an awards reception on June 2, 2026 in Warwick, Rhode Island. Gilden has built a distinguished legal career spanning over four decades, marked by trusted advocacy, respected leadership, and meaningful community engagement. A founding partner of PSH, he counsels companies, developers, financial institutions, and insurance agencies on mergers and acquisitions, complex financing transactions, ownership structuring, and significant commercial real estate projects. He served as Managing Partner of PSH for 17 years, guiding the firm through a period of substantial growth and establishing its strong presence in the Greater Providence region. From the firm’s earliest days, Gilden instilled a deep commitment to civic involvement. His current contributions include leadership roles in Crossroads Rhode Island, Centreville Bank, Providence Mutual Fire Insurance Company.
Samolis, Partner and Chair of the firm’s Employment & Labor Practice Group, represents businesses and management in both litigation and compliance matters across Massachusetts and Rhode Island, as well as at the national level. She advises management at all stages of the employment relationship, regularly counseling senior management, human resource professionals and business owners on applicable employment laws and pending legislation. Her expertise includes a broad range of employment issues, such as wage and hour compliance and defense, employment discrimination and harassment issues, employee handbooks, manager trainings, employee leaves of absence, incentivizing employee work, employee use of artificial intelligence in the workplace, compensation systems, noncompetition enforcement and defense, and individual and group terminations. Samolis will celebrate her 20-year anniversary with PSH later this year.
