Jim serves commercial clients across a broad range of industries, prosecuting and defending claims and delivering counsel on high-stakes disputes before litigation. His experience covers issues including contract interpretation and performance, corporate governance, consumer-protection law, and class-action litigation.
Before joining PSH in 2023, Jim worked at boutique litigation firm in the Washington D.C. area, representing clients in high-stakes disputes in various federal and state courts nationwide. He previously clerked on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

- Represented former student in civil-rights retaliation claim against a major public university, successfully defeating motion for summary judgment, leading to favorable settlement in mediation.
- Represented major political party as intervenor-defendant in challenge to a state’s laws on election administration, contributing to defeat in substantial part of plaintiff’s motion for preliminary injunction.
- Defended state legislators in challenge to state congressional map; successfully petitioned state supreme court for emergency interlocutory appeal and briefed issues of first impression of state constitutional law.
