PROVIDENCE, RI, November 13, 2025 – Partridge Snow & Hahn (PSH), a full-service business law and litigation firm, announces that attorney Sean M. Fontes has been appointed to the Rhode Island District of the Federal Court’s 2026 District Conference Planning Committee by Chief Judge John J. McConnell, Jr.
In this role, Fontes, in partnership with fellow committee members, will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing all aspects of the 2026 District Conference, including developing the program agenda, coordinating logistics, and engaging with presenters and participants to ensure a successful event.
As Counsel in PSH’s Employment and Litigation practice groups, Fontes counsels businesses on new and existing employment law compliance, handles all aspects of collective bargaining agreements, and represents employers who have been sued by their employees for discrimination and wage and hour claims. He also provides trainings to employers on employee discipline, performance management, promotions and terminations, and union grievance procedures and best practices. As former General Counsel for the Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training, he brings regulatory insight for practical and effective solutions for his employer clients in these matters. Fontes also represents businesses in matters beyond employment. He has legal experience in the construction industry, including counselling construction management firms, collective bargaining units, community-based organizations, minority business enterprises, and government procurement officials in his work as counsel to former Governor Raimondo’s Working Group on Diversity In Construction and BuildRI MBE Council.
