BOSTON, MA, May 21, 2026 – Partridge Snow & Hahn (PSH) partner Russell J. Stein participated in the panel discussion, “Exit Ready: A Roadmap to a Successful Sale,” at a program co-hosted by PSH, Berenstein Private Wealth Management, Dunn Rush & Co., and Waldron H. Rand & Company, P.C. on May 19, 2026.
During the program, panelists shared practical perspectives drawn from working alongside owners at different stages of the journey, touching on the financial, operational, and personal considerations that tend to matter most well ahead of a potential sale. Stein and fellow panelists discussed how owners think about building and preserving value, preparing for due diligence, and navigating tax, estate, and charitable planning. They also explored some of the less-discussed aspects of an exit, including common missteps, tradeoffs in deal structure, and the emotional transition that often accompanies stepping away from a business.
Stein focuses his practice on advising businesses on mergers and acquisitions and general corporate matters, the intricacies of U.S. Federal and State tax regulations, and advising nonprofit charities and charitable foundations on Federal tax regulations and State charitable regulations as well as general business matters. He has extensive experience counseling businesses on business and tax matters relating to corporate mergers & acquisitions, real estate development and investment fund structuring, tax planning, business restructurings, partnership taxation and Opportunity Zone Investments. He has considerable experience in drafting partnership agreements, reviewing and negotiating merger agreements, and advising companies on tax structuring regarding international holdings.
Additionally, Stein advises nonprofit organizations, charities, and private foundations on a variety of issues ranging from start-up organizational matters through mergers and dissolutions. He provides guidance on joint ventures and partnerships between nonprofit and for-profit entities, including advice regarding state regulations and registration requirements involving commercial co-venture agreements.
