The Construction Practice Group represents building owners, contractors, design professionals, and material suppliers in the public, commercial and residential construction industry in transactional and litigation matters.  We help and protect our clients by drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts to achieve our clients’ objectives and minimize future claims and other issues that may arise.  The group has extensive experience developing contracts including: owner to contractor, owner to architect, contractor to subcontractor, and related construction contracts.

The Group also has substantial construction litigation expertise, particularly handling payment and performance matters, defaults, and related issues.  We defend clients and prosecute on behalf of clients, bond claims, mechanics’ liens, prejudgment security, bid protests, and insurance claims. We have significant experience representing clients regarding performance claims, including issues such as failure to perform obligations, defaults, cracks and settlement, property damage, fire losses, water infiltration, and other failure.
