Factory Five Racing was founded in 1995. Over the years they have grown from a start-up business in a small garage to become the world's largest manufacturer of "build-it-yourself" component car kits. They employ a full-time crew of about 40 people, and are located in Wareham, Massachusetts (about an hour south of Boston). They make their products right here in the USA, in the heart of New England where American manufacturing was born.

Fred and Danny Magnanimi grew up watching their father create beautiful, handcrafted jewelry in the family's Cranston, RI jewelry manufacturing business. When the boys grew up, Fred moved to New York and began working on Wall Street as an investment banker, while younger brother Danny, still enamored by the family business, stayed home. Increased competition from overseas businesses created significant challenges for the business, but Danny was confident he could find a way for the family business to evolve and thrive.         Daniel C. Perry
        Daniel Perry is Senior Counsel based in the firm's Southcoast office. Dan is a well-established lawyer whose practice focuses on Real Estate, Land Use and Trust & Estate matters, and is known for handling matters of significant complexity. Dan also has served as outside general counsel to many prominent businesses located in the New Bedford area.

        In his real estate and land use practice, Dan represents the proponents of private and public development projects across southeastern Massachusetts, including Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket. He helps clients build schools, shopping centers, tv and cellular towers, manufacturing facilities, solar energy facilities, condominiums and residential complexes. His guidance helps clients secure necessary land use approvals and permits from local and state boards and agencies to move forward with their initiatives. Additionally, when necessary, Dan represents clients in complex real estate litigation before the state and federal courts.

        As an estate planning attorney, Dan helps individuals and their families curate estate plans that protect assets for future generations while taking advantage of the most current tax laws. Dan establishes estate planning and trust administration strategies such as revocable trusts, wills, powers of attorney, healthcare proxies, irrevocable insurance trusts and qualified personal residence trusts among others. Dan is particularly experienced in addressing estate planning issues related to family land holdings.

        Dan is an historic preservation and land use enthusiast. He is a past president of Waterfront Historic Area League of New Bedford (WHALE) and acted as their attorney for many years. He handled the organization’s legal work for many of their important projects, including the acquisition and preservation of the Corson Building, which was restored after a devastating fire in 1997. It is now the visitor and education center for the New Bedford Whaling National Historic Park. Dan was also involved in the restoration of the Joseph Grinnell Mansion built in 1831, now a congregate living facility for the elderly. He is also the Vice President of the Dartmouth Heritage Preservation Trust, played a prominent role in the restoration of the 1762 Elihu Akin House and was principally responsible for establishing that organizations program for holding historic preservation restrictions. He served on the board of directors and as Vice President of Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust and acted as their counsel in connection with the acquisition of numerous parcels for permanent conservation, totaling over a thousand acres.

        Before joining Partridge Snow & Hahn, Dan was the Managing Partner at Perry Hicks LLC located in New Bedford. While running the firm, he provided advice on land use law, business law, estate planning and wealth management to clients. Earlier in his career, Dan was an associate at the Boston law firm Foley Hoag & Eliot.
