Ms. Rao is a member of the Firm's Corporate Practice Group, concentrating her practice in intellectual property law. She works with individuals and businesses in prosecuting and protecting patents, trademarks and copyrights. Her trademark practice includes various issues of Rhode Island, Massachusetts and federal brand protection, including the selection of marks, prosecution of trademark applications, maintenance of registered trademarks, and resolution of Internet disputes. Her patent practice covers a variety of technologies, including manufacturing techniques, semiconductors, materials engineering, medical devices, and computer networking.

Ms. Rao is also a member of the firm's Entrepreneur Services Team, providing effective legal advice to entrepreneurs in their new business ventures.

Prior to joining law school, Ms. Rao worked in the semiconductor and computer industry for over six years as a process and applications engineer.
