Mr. Ryan is an experienced trial lawyer, successfully representing clients in both state and federal court. In particular, Mr. Ryan provides counsel on white collar crime and fraud issues, complex commercial litigation, corporate compliance and governmental investigations. He also represents students involved in school disciplinary proceedings.
Mr. Ryan was formerly an Assistant District Attorney in the Office of the Manhattan District Attorney where he served as Senior Trial Counsel and Bureau Chief in the Trial Division. In Rhode Island, he was appointed as Chief of the Criminal Division in the Department of the Attorney General, where for more than nine years he was responsible for the prosecution of all felony cases brought in the state. In this position, Mr. Ryan personally prosecuted many cases of fraudulent transactions involving misuse of government funds and corrupt practices including the collapse of the Jefferson Loan and Investment Bank.
