Mr. Gilden has extensive experience as real estate counsel in complex land development, project construction, and purchase and sale transactions. He has represented developers, financial institutions, manufacturing organizations, and other entities in all aspects of real estate law.

Mr. Gilden represents privately held business organizations involved in manufacturing, distribution, printing, insurance, and a variety of other industries. He has extensive experience providing advice regarding transactions, shareholder agreements, buy and sell agreements, intellectual property, licensing, business valuations, and related issues.

 

REPRESENTATIVE TRANSACTIONS

• Represented several acquirers of Class A office buildings in downtown Providence.
• Represented owner of multiple office buildings in several real estate projects in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
• Represented investor in golf course development projects in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
• Represented investor in construction and development financing of an upscale, regional mall with over onemillion square feet of premier retail space.
• Represented developer group in rehabilitation of major commercial properties in Rhode Island.
• Represented developer in ground lease of shopping center in Worcester, Massachusetts.
• Represented developer of mixed-use project in Rhode Island.
• Represented manufacturer in plant expansion, including real estate acquisitions and permitting.
• Represented owners of Class A office buildings in Providence in leasing and tenant issues.
• Represented lenders in several complex construction loans in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Mr. Gilden is a member of the American, Massachusetts and Rhode Island Bar Associations and admitted to practice law in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and before the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island. He received his J.D. from the Boston University School of Law and his B.A. from Brown University. Mr. Gilden is a Director of the Rhode Island Philharmonic and Chair of the Board Resources Committee. He is Immediate Past President of East Greenwich Summer Arts and Festival Organization, Legal Counsel of the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce Foundation, and Celebrate Rhode Island. He is Former Director of East Greenwich Chamber of Commerce, and Trustee of Touro Synagogue.
