Ms. Darigan is a partner and co-chair of the Firm’s Litigation Practice Group. She enjoys a diverse commercial, business and regulatory litigation practice, representing a broad range of clients in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies. In addition to working in the trial and appellate courts, Ms. Darigan advises clients in alternative dispute resolution matters.

Ms. Darigan provides counsel on complex litigation to clients in the banking, insurance and mortgage servicing industries. She defends financial services providers and insurers in class actions and other complex matters alleging improper administrative and lending policies, wrongful collections practices and breach of fiduciary duty as well as commercial contract disputes. In addition, Ms. Darigan formed the Firm’s electronic Discovery Team. This team of skilled litigation attorneys advises clients on all aspects of E-Discovery in the state and federal courts, including strategies for pre-litigation management of electronically stored information.

In collaboration with the experienced attorneys in the Firm’s Probate, Trust and Personal Planning Practice Group, Ms. Darigan represents individual and corporate fiduciaries in all types of probate and trust litigation in the probate and superior courts, on appeal, in a mediation or arbitration, including will and trust contests, disputes over the distribution of trust assets, interpretation of instruments, trust reformations, accounting proceedings and disputes over the exercise of discretionary powers.

Ms. Darigan is a Mentor in the Firm’s Mentoring Program and co-founded and assists with the administration of WAVE (Women AdVocates for Enterprise), a Firm initiative designed to promote women in business. For several years she served as the Firm’s Ombudsman.

A graduate of Leadership Rhode Island’s Class of 2000, Ms. Darigan has a long history of service to the community, acting as Secretary to Providence CITYARTS for Youth, Inc., an innovative, inner city arts education center. She is a member of Leading Women Advisory Board and an active member of St. Michael Church, an urban parish in Providence. Ms. Darigan has received Perishable Theater’s “Influential Women in Rhode Island” Award, and was honored with a “Recognition Award” for pro bono service by Minority Investment Development Corporation. Additionally, Ms. Darigan was named by Providence Business News as a 2005 40 Under Forty award recipient.

Ms. Darigan is a Providence native. Fluent in Spanish, she obtained her J.D., with a concentration in International Law, from The Columbus School of Law, The Catholic University of America and her B.A. in Latin American Studies from The Elliott School of International Affairs at The George Washington University.
