Ms. Byrd concentrates her practice in complex business litigation with a focus on employment law. In addition to representing large corporate entities in general business disputes, Ms. Byrd represents management at all stages of the employment relationship, regularly counseling senior management and human resource professionals on applicable employment laws and pending legislation. Ms. Byrd has experience providing advice on a broad range of issues, including wage and hour compliance, employment discrimination, and individual and group terminations, and in representing clients in state and federal court, as well as in arbitration and administrative proceedings.

Prior to joining Partridge Snow & Hahn LLP, Ms. Byrd served as law clerk to the Honorable Justice Francis J. Darigan, Jr., Providence County Superior Court.

Ms. Byrd is a Rhode Island native and received her J.D., cum laude, from Roger Williams University School of Law where she was a member of the Roger Williams University Law Review and completed the Law School Honors Program. She received her B.A., summa cum laude, from Rhode Island College. She is admitted to practice in Rhode Island and Massachusetts and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Rhode Island Women's Bar Association. Additionally, Ms. Byrd is Chair of the Personnel Committee for the Board of Meals on Wheels of Rhode Island.
