Partridge Snow & Hahn LLP receives “Business Excellence Award” from Providence Business NewsOctober 1, 2003 - Firm recognized for its charity and community work
Providence, October 2, 2003 – Partridge Snow & Hahn LLP was selected to receive the Community Involvement Award by the Providence Business News ‘Business Excellence Awards’ committee. Partridge Snow & Hahn LLP will be honored at the Awards Ceremony on Thursday, October 16 for its active role in charity and other community projects. “We are proud to receive this honor, “ said David M. Gilden, Managing Partner of Partridge Snow & Hahn LLP. “We encourage our all members of our team to be active and responsible members of the communities we serve and it is gratifying to be recognized for our efforts,” continued Mr. Gilden. Three years ago, Partridge Snow & Hahn LLP launched the PS&H Philanthropic Program, a firm-wide initiative to encourage employees to volunteer. This Program primarily benefits clients of the Children’s Friend & Service (CFS). PS&H selected CFS because everyone in the Firm wanted to become involved in improving the lives of Rhode Island’s children. Partridge Snow & Hahn LLP supports CFS and its clients in three primary ways. First, the Firm provides pro bono legal services to certain CFS clients on matters such as custody, adoption, government benefits and other issues. Secondly, the Firm sponsors a CFS family for an entire year by offering utility and food assistance, seasonal clothing, birthday presents and cakes, family night out and back-to-school items. Lastly, PS&H provides agency-wide support for CFS, including conducting drives for used and new items such as clothing, books and household items. Additionally, PS&H organizes an annual dinner at which the Firm employees cook and serve dinner for CFS clients, provide entertainment and child care for the children, and coordinate educational programs that provide health and safety information. “Children’s Friend & Service is pleased that Partridge Snow & Hahn is being recognized for its support of our work with vulnerable children and families,” said Lenette Azzi-Lessing, Executive Director of CFS. “From the early days of our partnership, the people of Partridge Snow & Hahn have demonstrated a deep commitment to making a real difference in children’s lives – we couldn’t ask for a more caring partner,” she added. In addition to its involvement in CFS, members of Partridge Snow & Hahn LLP actively participate in more than seventy-five charitable organizations and community projects – contributing both time and money. | |
