Mr. Hunt provides personal planning and tax counsel to clients who may benefit from sophisticated planning techniques. He has extensive experience in a range of tax and estate planning issues, including planning for business owners and entrepreneurs, and for married, unmarried and same-sex couples. He focuses on his clients' overall individual and family needs and assists clients in achieving their personal planning goals through effective wealth preservation, minimization of federal and state income, estate and gift taxes, facilitating tax effective transfers of family-owned businesses and real estate, transfers of inter-generational wealth, and structuring tax-effective charitable donations.
Mr. Hunt represents fiduciaries in the administration of trusts and estates. He oversees preparation and filing of estate and gift tax returns, represents clients before the Internal Revenue Service and handles a wide range of probate matters including administration of estates and guardianships in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
As Partridge Snow & Hahn's Sustainability Officer, Mr. Hunt heads the firm's GreenMatters™ program, where he is responsible for implementing sustainability in the firm's business and culture, and educating members of the firm on the professional and environmental benefits of adopting sound stewardship practices. The GreenMatters™ program includes environmental education, energy conservation and waste reduction within the firm, as well as monitoring and lessening the ecological impact the firm has on the environment. Mr. Hunt is also responsible for counseling clients on how their personal and business decisions impact their sustainability.
