Michael provides advice and counsel to individual and corporate clients on local, state, and federal tax issues and in the development of strategies to enhance tax filing positions and satisfy tax compliance obligations. Michael provides tax planning services regarding business startups, mergers and acquisitions, business restructuring, and day-to-day tax compliance issues. He advocates for clients before local, state, and federal taxing authorities on audit, appeal, and before the Tax Court, as well as guiding clients through voluntary compliance initiatives. Michael also provides business transition tax analysis and specialized tax support for the firm’s trust and estates, nonprofit, and ERISA/employee benefits clients.
